"What is the business case for sustainability?....I'd love to see the case for the alternative."
-Keith Weed
Locally, and globally, we are seeing a shift in how CEO's and consumers feel about environmental impact. For the first time consumers are directly holding businesses accountable for the effect they have on the environment, whether it is a positive or negative one. As more and more millennials are entering into the workforce, a shift in the commitment a company has on the impact they make on the environment is occurring.
Instead of working with 6.9 billion consumers, we have chosen to work directly with companies to build these sustainable efforts and save the bees. By working with some of the biggest, most influential companies in cities around the world we can create lasting change by creating a collaborative standard of environmental commitment.
We need to begin managing this planet like our lives depend on it, because they fundamentally do.
"For every business there are risks and costs to a program of action, but they are far less than the long range risks and costs of comfortable inaction." -John F. Kennedy
To install Bee Downtown hives is not a small investment because to create lasting change there has to be a substantial investment from everyone. For companies ready to step-up and be an environmental leader in their region these hives provide a way to show that commitment.
